「 Before you begin... 」
Due to the nature of the setting there will be numerous mentions of prostitution, other types of sex work, organized crime, drug use, human trafficking, and various dark subjects in the game's information pages and events. If any of these subjects make you uncomfortable please read with caution.

「 Be kind to your fellow players. 」
You are required to treat your fellow players with respect. Be mindful of their boundaries and clear and direct in communicating your own.

「 You must be at least 18 years of age to join the game. 」
Any attempts to circumvent this rule will be met with an immediate and permanent ban.

「 You must have a permissions post. 」
All players are required to have a permissions post in their character's journal. Permissions requirements and a template can be found here.

「 Use the appropriate warnings on your posts. 」
Players are expected to include warnings on posts and threads that any sort of contain sexual content, as well as extra warnings for gore, torture, and non- and dubiously-consensual sexual content. The inclusion of other content warnings will be left to player discretion. The mods may expand the mandatory warnings at a later date.

「 Do not push your kinks onto other players, nor shame them for their kinks. 」
Doing either of the above is strictly prohibited, and any violations will be disciplined with warnings, strikes, or removal from the game depending on the severity of the infraction.

「 Understand the boundary between IC and OOC. 」
Related to the above notes, please keep in mind that OOC and IC are to be kept separate. Don't allow your thoughts and feelings about another player bleed into how your character behaves, or vice-versa.

「 Understand that actions have consequences. 」
This applies to both OOC and IC interactions. Breaking a rule OOCly can result in warnings or your removal from the game. Breaking a rule ICly will result in IC punishment. Keep this in mind as you play.

「 Meet the activity requirements. 」
The minimum required activity level for Yoshiwara Nights is 15 comments across 2 to 4 threads. Every other month, at least 10 of those comments must be smut comments from within the past two months. More information can be found here.

「 Toxicity Clause 」
The mods reserve the right to a remove player from the game at any time, with or without administering warnings or strikes beforehand, if we feel that their actions are a significant detriment to the overall health of the game.

「 A final note about anonymous communities... 」
The moderators will not refer to discussions on RPAnons, Wankgate, or any other anonymous or semi-anonymous communities to make decisions about the game. If you have a complaint about another player, the plot, or the management of the game you must contact the mod team directly us if you hope to see anything change.

In short: anon comms are meant to be a place for venting and complaints posted there without being brought to our attention directly will be treated as such.
